Volkswagen reveals foldable Bik.e

Auto China 2010でフォルクスワーゲンからBik.eという電動バイクが公開されたとのこと。
動画を見ると一目瞭然であるが、コンパクトで自転車を少し小さくしたようなフォルムである。
折り畳むこともできるようで、車のトランクにも容易に収まっていた。最高時速は20kmで、
走行距離も20kmなので自転車感覚で使えるかもしれない。ドイツではヘルメットなしでも
運転できるようだけど、日本だと公道を走るのも微妙なところ。

Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, development chief at VW showcased the bik. e at the Auto China 2010. "We think far beyond the car, as such, with a focus on mobility in general and we do this regularly in concept teams made up of specialists with a mission to look into the future and give up existing conventions, which means finding new, unconventional solutions," he said.
